“ My Husband & I enjoyed our dinner here. The calamari was delicious. We also had ordered brisket with coleslaw & beans, so yummy. We also enjoyed the Mushroom Pici Toscani , it was so flavorful. Our waitress Taylor was such a sweetheart. So attentive & fabulous. Thank you for a nice meal. See you when we visit the Catskills again. I highly recommend this place if you are visiting the area. ”
“ A cozy restaurant and bar on a hill. We just had a delicious, comforting dinner at The Spy. We started off w a fab pretzel and spoon cornbread with mushrooms followed by duck for my husband and meatloaf with carrots and mashed potatoes for me; accompanied by a lovely glass of Pinot noir .We finished w tapioca pudding and fresh whipped cream. On a cold night like this it was perfect. Great service by a delightful friendly staff and of course as we were leaving we chatted with the owner, Doris, who is always warm and friendly. She works hard with her staff to make sure that everyone is well looked after and graciously taken care of. ”
“ Delightful experience here all around! We sat at the bar and had the pleasure of being serves by Brigitte who was welcoming and friendly. We had the beet salad and tofu wings to start, and then the chicken pot pie and steak frites, and everything was perfect! We left no room for desert which was a shame as the selection sounded awesome. Great selection of drinks, they have Maine Lunch on tap. Our fellow patrons at the bar were a friendly bunch and the atmosphere was relaxing. It's a bit pricey but I still felt we got value for the money. We'll definitely be back here! ”

The food is delicious and the homemade desserts and ice cream are the best!!! Will definitely eat here again. ”

“ The Spy is one of my absolute favorite restaurants to eat at in the Hudson Valley. They use the freshest ingredients and the quality of the food is consistently delicious time after time. My husband and I used to eat here very often when we lived closer and now that we moved and live almost 40 minutes away, we still make the drive! From the fresh pasta to the tofu wings (like no other!) to our favorite—the turkey kale burger, everything is just SO good. Not to mention that everyone that works here is so pleasant, attentive, and kind. It’s really always such a pleasure to eat here. Highly recommend!! ”
“ We are visiting the area from DC and found Spy based on reviews. We came in late on a Friday. Our server was very attentive and warm and seated us promptly even though our reservation was for later. The Atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. The food was across the board excellent. The cooking, ingredients, and presentation were all top notch. In fact the food was so good we ate at Spy the next evening as well. This is an excellent and sophisticated gourmet restaurant that should not be missed. ”
